FLY STRIKE PROTECTION IN LONG WOOL

Applying Avenge in long wool (6 weeks to 8 months after shearing) provides protection against flystrike for up to 14 weeks, so you get all the convenience of one product for multiple jobs. Avenge is the only fly control product containing imidacloprid, a neonicotinoid insecticide. No resistance has been reported to imidacloprid.

OFF SHEARS LICE AND BLOW FLY PROTECTION

Avenge is the only knockdown pour-on product with a four week residual period* against lice and up to 10 weeks protection against flystrike off shears.

Avenge controls susceptible body lice (Bovicola ovis) when applied up to 7 days off shears and on unshorn lambs up to 2 months of age. Avenge has a four week residual activity for lice (when applied within 24 hours off-shears), offering protection against re-infestation for complete peace of mind. It will continue to kill any lice that hatch from eggs following treatment and protect sheep from reinfestation from stray sheep or other lousy sheep for up to four weeks. Avenge also offers up to 10 weeks protection against fly strike off shears.

Directions for Use

1.      Flystrike prevention in long wool

Use the custom designed Bayer spray-on applicator gun. Avenge for fly control
in long wool can be used on all sheep from 13 kg bodyweight upwards with
between 6 weeks and 8 months wool. For body strike prevention, apply in two
bands down the backline from the poll to tail butt, one on either side of the
sheep. Ensure the bands overlap along the midline. For prevention of breech
strike apply a single band to the breech area. The applicator nozzle should be
15-20 cm above the fleece to ensure even distribution of the product.

2.      Dual Action Flystrike prevention and Lice
control in short wool

Apply Avenge as a double broad-band stripe in adult sheep or as a single band
in younger sheep under 30kg bodyweight (according to the dose rate and
application pattern below)

Add 10mL for each 10kg above 100kg bodyweight.

Correct application is vital. Incorrect application may affect product efficacy. Inspect sheep prior to release from the race and if the dose is incorrectly applied, re-treat as per the correct application pattern.

TRIED, TESTED, PROVEN.

Trial results:

Field studies were conducted in different areas of Australia under conditions of confirmed fly pressure. The studies were run for up to 20 weeks and compared Avenge against a dicyclanil-based spray-on product for protection against both body and breech strike.

The studies showed both products to be highly effective in preventing flystrike (99% efficacy)
