Exifluke 240

Exifluke 240 is for the treatment of triclabendazole-susceptible early immature, immature and mature liver fluke (Fasciola hepatica) in beef cattle.The active ingredient is Triclabendazole, a member of the benzimidazole family of drenches, works by blocking the uptake of glucose, resulting in parasite starvation and death.

Liver fluke is an important parasite of cattle and is prevalent in high rainfall or irrigation areas of NSW, Victoria and Tasmania and small areas in Queensland and South Australia. Liver fluke causes damage to bile ducts and liver, resulting in blood loss, ill thrift and in some cases 'Black Disease'.
